This is a privacy policy made for our web application BizzTouch. The main company website can be found on this link. This software is used to manage business processes online. The core are your digital files where you can add X number of contacts, X number of objects, X number of files and general information related to the digital file. Because the application is the core of your business, it collects personal information. This document encloses which information is used and how it is used.
The company name is BMK-is. It’s “BMK Information Systems B.V.” in full. The Dutch KVK number is “53826140”. The location of the registered company is “Hendersonstraat 22 2286XC Rijswijk”. We are a small company that has been on the market for about 30 years! We specialize in expertise software for inland and sea vessels. But our new software “BizzTouch” is a software application that goes beyond this specific branch. Our business location/contact information can be found on this link.
The goal of the obtained data can be divided into two categories. We have the main website where almost none of your information is obtained. We do have Google Analytics installed pure for analyzing the in- and outgoing traffic. Our software application goes further related to this topic. It is a data driven application, so naturally we save a lot of information. This encloses contact information of your clients, information about the objects (mostly vessels), information about your business files, and personal information related to the employees who work with the application. I.e. we save your account which you can use to login into our application. The password is safely encoded into our database. We have no personal goal with this information. We are professionals and will never use your given information for our own purposes (that’s how we are almost 30 years in business!) We can access sensitive information that is used in the application, but solely for activities that are required for running a software application. Only 2 employees of BMK-IS can access this information and this goes in a secure way through VPN.
Also this section can be divided into two categories. You can send contact information through our main website. This goes into a single mail address that is accessed by two BMK-IS employees. All the other information related to this section goes through telephone or personal meetings. Information given in the BizzTouch application are not send to anyone. It’s solely stored in the database and can be solely requested by users of the software package. We do not sell this information and other people not related to BMK-IS cannot get this information.
The storage period is purely in the hands of our clients of the BizzTouch application. They need to retrieve information going back for many years, so the information is stored for many years. How long this is saved is connected to the client’s own privacy policy for intern use.
The rights of our customers for our main application are written in contracts. This can be different foreach client. But in most cases do the clients have the right on their own data. We do, however, have the right on the used data-model. In these contracts are stated what rights you have and i.e. how we handle client whishes to move to another business application.
There is no required information in case of the website. It’s sole purpose is to give information about our software application. The required information related to this application, is a login username/password. More data is required to have a fully functioning application. The client’s themselves decide which data they want to save in BizzTouch. It’s fully transparent with the user. However, we do save some information related to user activity that can only be seen by developers of BMK-IS. We do this to cover ourselves incase somebody deletes an item and says it our systems fault (an example).
In BizzTouch it’s possible to use some Google Services. We are using the newest technique Oauth2.0 to connect users to these services (Google, Microsoft). For now our goal is to provide a way to have an extra layer around e-mail and calendar. This policy is mainly written to help Google identify our company and our goal with the application. We do save the data given from these services, but solely on permission of the client through personal meetings. (If they want the e-mail module in the application then we need to save the e-mails).
We do a great deal related to security. This contains the newest updates on the framework, database and techniques used in the application. We provide a HTTPS access to our web-based applications. Sensitive information is safely encrypted in the database that is only accessible through a VPN. Even our server is personally hosted in a secure environment. We cannot provide more information related to security (to keep it secure) but we do give information to clients who are interested in the application. We hope this document gave a clear view of what data we collect and what we do with it. It’s important to state that our main product (BizzTouch) is a private web-based application.
